The Butterfly Papers Vol 1. To Be Released October, 2013

Sometimes when we least expect it, something magical and unexpected happens.
This short story has turned out to be an interesting journey in a short amount of time and I find myself looking forward to the possibility of exploring it further.  In the meantime, this short story will be published in October, 2013.   Too excited not to share.
“The Butterfly Papers” Vol. 1
Natália was used to traveling alone and she liked to keep her own company. As she headed to Los Angeles International Airport, the day seemed like any other day. She wasn’t traveling far, just an hour flight, and yet she was feeling something she couldn’t quite put her fingers on.
There was a stirring deep within her daring her to step out of her comfort zone. She knew the Universe would collaborate in her favor, the elements usually did. But she would soon learn there was more to her than meets the eye when a series of ordinary events would produce extraordinary circumstances.

Higher Self

If you could have a chat with your higher self what would they say?   If they could give you advise what would they suggest?  What if you could really hear them? Would you act differently knowing you had a spot in the Devine Garden of where everything could be perfect, of where you are [...]

Everyone Has An Opinion

Taking stock of what you say can be more important than taking inventory of what you have.  Are you replaying the broken record over and over in your mind? Where are you getting your information? Haven’t you heard? You shouldn’t believe half of what you think.
You should also only believe half of what you see and almost none of what you hear. Everyone has an opinion.  The problem is everyones judgments are based on their own lack of experience.  Most people are very knowledgable in one area. They went to school on a subject or they took a job right out of college and they became an expert at whatever their job description was.
Is life so hard that you would so easily.... [http://www.lifewithoneeyeopen.com/2012/04/15/everyone-has-an-opinion/]

It's Been A While...

Check out all my latest entries....  http://www.lifewithoneeyeopen.com

and here's a little taste of yesterday...

If you had access to the keepers of your life flashing before your eyes what questions would you ask?  How would you greet the efferevescent premonitions?  Whatever would you wear? You can’t really wait because life waits for no one and you can’t look toward the eternal sunshine of a spotless mind because well, that’s... [http://www.lifewithoneeyeopen.com/2012/04/12/how-long-until-forever/]

Practice Makes Perfect (eventually)

Emotional responses are at the core of our unconscious makeup. We are programmed, destined and wired to react in a way that is based on the stories we grew up in.
Our interactions with people can significantly alter our state of consciousness if we don’t have a grasp on our own reality. The way we react toward the things that happen around us is a sign of where we are on our personal journey.
Just as chemical reactions will cause change, intelligent emotional reactions can create energy shifts.
How do you react to someone in a bad mood? How do you treat others if you’re in a bad mood? Are you aware when you hurt someone’s feelings? Are you aware when your words or actions might hurt someones feelings? Do you lash out in irrational ways? Are you able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes?
Don’t you think it’s time we all became...

New and Improved

In a society obsessed with bigger and better, enriched and enhanced, and the ever changing latest and greatest, it is inevitable that we change a little everyday. We are on a path to better ourselves and in doing so we experiment with new approaches, we keep up on the latest trends and we find events to participate in that spark our interests.
In our personal evolution to be the best that we can be, we develop a desire to expand our interpretations. We seek out new information in new and interesting ways. We endeavor to think outside the box and connect with that which moves us forward. We are constantly on a quest to get it right. We have encounters with things gone wrong. We condition ourselves and then we redefine ourselves based on new synapses.
A friend told me once that she was impressed with my ability to constantly...

Decisions

With only 2 days to go on our 30 day challenge, the sense of accomplishment should be enough to keep us moving forward.  How are you feeling? Are you still in it? Are you excited? A celebration will be in order in honor of the commitment and the follow through.

There have been so many revelations but as my days have become longer and my cough has taken my voice with it, my eyes fall heavy from fatigue. Since we must be true to ourselves, I must follow the path of...

Feng Shui and The Moon

And think not you can,
 Direct the course of love,
 For love,
 If it finds you worthy,
 Directs your course.
~ Khalil Gibran
We spend our lives looking for love, being in love and loving the idea of love. Songs tell us all we need is love and our hearts fill when we’re in love.  Love moves mountains, and love brings smiles to our faces and sparkles to our eyes. Love is within us and love is all around us.  Love is also available from above us.
We know there is love from the Heavens.  That’s a given.  But what about the idea of refreshing our love state from an unconventional source? What if we could have a love affair with the moon?
Chinese Taoist and Feng Shui Masters teach that the `yang` energy is from the Sun and the `yin` energy is from the Moon.  The yin energy holds the feminine attributes and aligning ourselves with the celestial energy of the yin can help us find balance and new perspective.
The possibility of garnering energy from the moon was first presented...
